About
Charlie Bouthot began working on the Internet and the web since 1993, and was one of the first people to hold the (unfortunately titled) position of “webmaster”. Over the past 15 years he has employed a unique combination of analytical, project management, and web design skills to counsel senior level business executives; coordinate the efforts of creative and marketing groups; and manage internal and external technical resources.
Since 2000, Charlie has split time between independent projects and work in partnership with New Technologies, a privately held consulting and integration firm in Boston, MA. He also contributes as a series producer for The Conversations Network’s IT Conversations, one of the leading podcast sites on the web. Prior to 2000, he was a Partner and Director of Web Services with QUIS Communications in Cambridge, Massachusetts, overseeing corporate sites for clients such as Symbol Technologies, York Photo, and Nashua Corporation, among others.
Charlie’s education includes graduate study in systems analysis and design at Bentley College, and training in information security with the SANs Institute. He also holds an MA in Political Science from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and a BA in Sociology from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Initially trained as a policy analyst, he previously served in this capacity for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Education, and on several national political campaigns.
Charlie is also active in his community. He has served as an elected Trustee of the Boxford Library and coaches youth hockey, lacrosse and baseball in his spare time.
